Some notes about me and why this site exists.
It’s much more dynamic than my main blog. I’ll add to this more frequently and focus on process rather than result. This note repo is supposed to be a portal into how I work as a practitioner; rough-hewn, scattered, craftspersonship.
That’s why it has the Dracula color scheme! When I work on projects, I use the Dracula theme in most of my IDEs and applications. So this is a pretty close representation of what I see when I work.
Dracula - Dark theme for 260+ apps
Dracula is a color scheme for code editors and terminal emulators such as Vim, Notepad++, iTerm, VSCode, Terminal.app, ZSH, and much more.
I still maintain my main blog at https://huskyhacks.dev and will continue to do so. But that site is not good for maintaining a repository of notes and projects.
But do you know what is good for that? Notion!
This site is built with Notion and Super.so, a Notion website editor. This allows me to rapidly document my thoughts, projects, code snippets, and all that good stuff.
Hi. I'm Husky. I'm a cybersecurity practitioner and student of ethical hacking. I write about my fail-forward attempts to learn the ins and outs of technical cybersecurity. And about un-related life stuff, like getting kicked off of the Appalachian Trail during the Coronavirus outbreak. I do my best to break the concepts down until they...
I, for one, love the Dracula theme! I’m not a web developer and I don’t care enough to have someone design a site for me. My note archive is not an art exhibit, it’s the workshop. It’s where ideas are formed and things are tried and tested. I think the site layout fits the site’s purpose.
It’s dead simple! Get started at Super.so:
Super - Create Websites with Notion
Your work stays in a place you control and love, while Super handles the technical parts of publishing it to your website. This means you can focus what's actually important to you: creating content and building your brand without worrying about configurations, plugins, downtime, performance, or security.

Malware Analysis Labs: Internal Network vs Host-Only
"If Host-Only mode allows a VM to route to the physical host in some circumstances, can it really be considered safe for malware analysis?" I applaud my students for approaching me about this because it means they are thinking critically about safety during malware analysis.
